The Live Content Delivery planning teams works within CT&I and plan for the delivery of live and non-live content for the Sky Sports, Entertainment, News and Sky Sports News channels. This role is within the Sports & Entertainment LCD team where you’d be working with Sky production, Sky DE and IT, Broadcasters, Service Providers and MCR. You will be responsible for booking the delivery of content via Satellite, IP, LiveU, fibre etc, allocating resources and representing technical information in the booking system, Schedulink. You’d play an integral part of the process, in a busy and dynamic team where we value teamwork and a great team culture.

What you’ll do

  • Coordination of all satellite, data and fibre links for the transmission of live and non-live content for Sky Channels.
  • Work with 3rd party service providers, Broadcasters, Sky MCR and all related stakeholders to achieve success in delivery of signals for Sky Channels.
  • Enter all technical delivery details in the booking system (ScheduAll/Link) to inform technical areas of how the feed is routed, which equipment is allocated and provide contact details as required.
  • Allocate necessary equipment in Sky MCR for facilitating each feed.
  • Follow up with service providers when issues have been reported.
  • Prioritise workload so that all requirements are met to agreed timescales.
  • Keep accurate financial records.

What you’ll bring

  • Industry experience in a related area e.g. Broadcasters or Service Providers
  • Educated to at least GCSE standard
  • Communicate effectively with technical and creative departments and 3rd party Broadcasters or Service Providers.
  • Additional European language(s) an advantage (Italian/German)
  • Good Word/Excel/Outlook skills/ScheduLINK
  • Be able to work effectively and independently under pressure and to be able to prioritise
  • Be a team player
  • Great communication skills
