General Summary

The Digital Marketing executive acts within the UK Theatrical marketing team managing the delivery of customer focused UK digital marketing campaigns across paid, organic, publicity and influencer activations for the movies we are releasing into cinemas, such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Gran Turismo in 2023.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine curiosity about digital marketing, a passion for social media, is conscientious, a great teammate and willing to actively pitch in and participate in all aspects of our marketing activity.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital marketing campaign execution for allocated movie titles across paid and unpaid activity within approved budgets and deadlines
  • Co-ordinating the setup of paid digital media campaigns, liaising between creative and media agencies across social media, programmatic, search and display for all titles
  • Manage digital creative assets, localisation ordering and delivery, ensuring we have the correct assets needed for different social platforms
  • Provide accurate and timely media campaign metrics to Digital Manager & Director for periodic internal reporting
  • Manage our email marketing output including creative messaging and execution across different stakeholders and with home office in LA
  • Responsible for content management of the sonypicitures.co.uk site

Influencers

  • Co-ordinate influencer & creator activations with relevant agencies or in house
  • Source and work with influencers to participate in marketing initiatives including talent-based junket activations
  • Work with influencers at events including pre-release screenings such as premieres

Social Media Output

  • Handle the social posting calendar for Sony Pictures UK theatrical social media channels, Tiktok, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram all year round.
  • Evaluate organic social performance, providing feedback and creative direction to social agencies
  • Reacting to trends and events, liaising with other Sony departments to deliver their messaging

Continued Responsibilities:

  • Ideation of digital concepts for our releases
  • Creation of presentation PowerPoint decks for home office on assigned titles
  • Raising POs including taking care of finance related requests and travel bookings
  • Approval of showtimes website plugins & analysis of ticketing data
  • Work closely with the Publicity team to ensure offline PR is integrated within the digital campaign
  • Manage digital allocation of merchandise via online competitions & media desk drops
  • Co-ordination and update all asset tracking documents including social media and online display advertising: Asset Tracker, View Tracker, Media Rotations, Distribution minutes
  • Cross checking and screen grabbing of bought digital media campaigns
  • Management of digital contact database including invites for screenings and premieres
  • Update internal reporting minutes
  • Compile wrap reports on each title
  • Participation in creative review meetings

Skills/Qualifications and/or Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a film/entertainment digital role at a studio, entertainment agency or media company. You may also be an influencer or creator in your own right.
  • Degree Level education
  • Good understanding of digital marketing including influencer and paid social
  • Excellent power point skills
  • Have the confidence to connect with colleagues at all levels concisely and professionally
  • Proactively contribute to the department through research and awareness of the industry, use of contacts, and through striving to improve office systems and processes
  • Cope well under pressure and prioritise effectively and efficiently so that work is carried out accurately and in a timely manner
