The Role/The Team:

The Internal Communications Executive will work with the Group Head of Internal Communications to support the development and execution of the Group’s employee communications strategy, aimed at connecting our people to the company’s Purpose. This involves daily, weekly and monthly communications initiatives and oversight of company-wide communications tools and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group Head of Internal Communications to deliver effective and engaging employee communication routines to build an informed, collaborative and proud employee population that understands our Purpose, strategic goals and how their work connects to the Company’s growth
  • Work cross-functionally to align on communication goals, channel strategy and messaging
  • Ensure consistent tone and messaging across all global communications
  • Take ownership and develop communication plans for internal campaigns
  • Write, edit, produce, and manage distribution of internal communications content featuring employee profiles and outstanding articles (news, interviews, videos etc.)
  • Activate and animate key internal communication tools (Intranet, Internal social media, emailing software)
  • Work with global functions including HR, IT, Legal and Finance to draft and send communications to different segments of the employee population
  • Maintain a calendar of global internal communications and advise on appropriate timing for messages
  • Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns end-to-end across intranet content, newsletter, video, audio content and more
  • Act as a trusted advisor on tone, content and cadence of messaging across key topics including DE&I, company direction, organizational announcements, M&A, Sustainability, employee engagement etc.)
  • Draft and send messages or scripts from senior executives for communications to employees in written or spoken form
  • Track engagement and implement an effective way of measuring communications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • This role may suit someone with a BA or master’s degree in communications, digital media, journalism, marketing, public relations or a related program
  • Knowledge of latest social media practices, able to turn those into impactful communication to reach broad audiences on our communication channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – able to adopt the Fremantle tone of voice to land the message elegantly and appropriately
  • Able to work cross-culturally and with executive management
  • Have the creative flair to create high-quality, engaging copy from complex information
  • Able to work on several projects simultaneously from concept through completion
  • Good knowledge of various internal communications platforms, channels, and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, in particular SharePoint
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Able to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders to adopt best internal communications practice
  • Agility, proactivity, and pace to respond to unexpected dynamics
  • An innate curiosity and tenacity to get under the skin of future plans around the group as well as industry dynamics

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of photography and video editing
  • Graphic design skills
